Activist of United Opposition assassinated in Western Georgia

Today in the morning, Gerontiy Katsiya, a propagandist of the United Opposition, was shot dead from a hunting rifle in the Tsalendzhikh District (Samegrelo, Western Georgia).

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that this fact was announced at an emergency briefing by David Gamkrelidze, one of the leaders of the block "United Opposition: National Council - Right-Wingers" and leader of the "New Right-Wingers" Party.

Mr Gamkrelidze said: "Gerontiy Katsiya, a propagandist of the United Opposition, was shot dead from a hunting rifle in the Tsalendzhikh District (Samegrelo, Western Georgia) on his way to the polling station. He is a victim of the electoral campaign. His blood is on the conscience of the authorities of Georgia."
