Office of human rights center "Memorial" was attacked in Saint Petersburg on August 14
According to the words of the local branch chairman of the "Memorial" Vladimir Shnidtke, about 14:00 two men rushed into the society's quarters, one of them wearing a mask. They call themselves representatives of the society for Colonel Budanov's protection and announced that they needed a central computer with information.
Three people were in the office at the moment of the attack: Shnidtke himself, a person on duty and an accountant. Attackers tied them and locked in a small pantry, after that they took away two computers and escaped, informed Shnidtke. He noted that photoportraits of the both attackers had been already made. One of the employees remembered them well as the malefactors, according to Shnidtke's words, spent the whole first half of the day near the entrance of the building where Memorial's office was situated.
