Andrei Keilin accused of murdering two students in Stavropol challenges his stay at SIZO
Andrei Keilin, a resident of Karachaevo-Circassia, who was earlier accused of murdering two students in Stavropol and kept for some time at the pre-trial detention facility (SIZO), has decided to sue law enforcement bodies and claim compensation of moral damage in the sum of 1 million roubles, as reported by regional press.
Roman Belan, Andrei Keilin's defender, has confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Mr Keilin had indeed lodged some complaint but could not give details.
"Indeed, they've appealed against, possibly, by way of rehabilitation, but I don't know the details. I don't run Mr Keilin's case any longer, he is defended by Moscow advocate Vladimir Zherebyonkov, Mr Belan has added.
