On Saakashvili's inauguration day, the Georgia opposition to hold a rally at the hippodrome
The United Opposition of Georgia plans to hold a rally on the day of inauguration of Mikhail Saakashvili, January 20, and calls the public to come to the hippodrome.
"We follow the will of the Georgian people and continue our struggle against injustice and lawlessness, for recounting of votes and cancellation of forged election outcomes," the IA "Georgia Online" quotes the United Opposition.
"We refuse to cooperate with the government and reject all the posts offered by them," representatives of the opposition state and emphasize that the inauguration and military parade scheduled for January 20 will not promote the achievement of national accord.
Meanwhile, the IA "News-Georgia" informs that Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi Mamuka Akhvlediani thinks that holding protest actions of the United Opposition on the inauguration day of the newly elected President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili on January 20 will be a violation of the law.
We remind you that the opposition has addressed the city municipality for a permit to hold protest actions in the period from January 19 to January 21 and was rejected.
