Sources reported that a coach in Derbent killed his lover's son.

A freestyle wrestling coach in Derbent and his son beat a young man who objected to the coach's relationship with his mother and buried the body. The suspects have been detained, sources said.

A freestyle wrestling coach beat his lover's son to death in Dagestan, the Telegram channel "112" reported.

According to the channel, the athlete met the woman when she was already raising her 18-year-old son. The young man objected to his mother's relationship and demanded that the man end it. When the words turned to threats, the coach called his 28-year-old son and brutally beat the young man. Afterwards, the young man was taken out of town, finished off, and his body was buried. Those involved have been detained, and a criminal case has been opened for the massacre, committed by a group of individuals acting in concert, the report states.

Sources reported that a 19-year-old man was killed. Shamil, 19, was killed in Derbent. The suspect is a well-known freestyle wrestling coach who previously headed one of the city's sports schools. After the murder, he attempted to bury the body and leave the country, but was detained by police, the Telegram channel "Tut Dagestan" reported today.

By 12:35 Moscow time, the Dagestan Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee of Russia had not reported any arrests of suspects in this case.

"KKavkazsky Uzel" also reported that on January 31, 2024, MMA fighter Magomedrasul Mutayev received several gunshot wounds near his home in Makhachkala and died en route to the hospital. On February 3, police announced that 18-year-old Nadyrkhan Kadirkhanov had been arrested on suspicion of murder. Investigators cited Mutayev's personal animosity as the reason for his murder.

Kadirkhanov, suspected of murdering MMA fighter Magomedrasul Mutayev, reported being beaten and humiliated by the athlete in front of others, a representative of the Dagestan Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) reported after visiting the detainee. The prosecutor's office has sent the case to court.
