Pro-European protests in Tbilisi have continued for 306 consecutive days.

Participants in the ongoing protest in Tbilisi blocked traffic in front of the Georgian Parliament for the 306th day in a row. Activists announced a march in support of women participating in the struggle for October 1.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on September 28, the 305th day of daily protests, supporters of Georgia's European integration held a German-Georgian friendship march under the slogan: "Together for Europe." The march was organized after the German ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Ministry.

Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi was once again blocked this evening by participants in a daily protest in front of the Georgian Parliament. The protests have now entered their 306th day. The protesters' demands remain unchanged: call new elections and release those detained during the protests, InterPressNews reports.

Protesters have announced a march for October 1 in support of women involved in the struggle for democracy and facing political persecution. Participants will gather at 8:00 PM near the Philharmonic. "We're waiting for everyone who sees the role of women in this struggle and the regime's dirty tactics against them (us)!" Publika quotes the protest organizer as saying.

A mass protest is also planned for Saturday, October 4th – the day of municipal elections, which most of the opposition is boycotting.

The authorities are "trying to stem the wave of protests with threats and intimidation," announcing a large-scale police mobilization. Meanwhile, non-governmental organizations, activists, and ordinary citizens who will be heading to Rustaveli Avenue instead of polling stations on the 4th say that Georgian Dream "must be afraid of the people," Pirveli TV reports.
