The Krasnodar Territory task force has not found any new fuel oil emissions in the past week, while Rospotrebnadzor has stated that the water from Gelendzhik to Abkhazia is clean. Meanwhile, the Anapa sanatorium has recommended that guests wear shoe covers when going to the beach.

"Caucasian Knot" wrote that from July 25 to August 12, the authorities did not record any new fuel oil emissions on the coast of Anapa, although volunteers during this period stated that emissions were continuing. On August 4, the volunteer headquarters confirmed that local emissions of oil products are continuing on the beaches of Taman and pollution is visible on satellite images. Scientists from the Subtropical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported a normalization of the concentration of oil products near Vityazevo, but noted a change in the chemical composition of macroalgae and the impact of fuel oil on the mussel population.

In Anapa, from August 11 to 19, no new emissions of fuel oil were detected, the Krasnodar Territory operational headquarters reported today on its Telegram channel, stating that this data is based on the results of daily monitoring of the coastline.

Rospotrebnadzor did not find any deviations from the standards in water samples from the Black and Azov Seas taken after the fuel oil spill incident in the area from Gelendzhik to Abkhazia, the head of the department Anna Popova reported.

"All our forecasts for the localization of pollution of the beaches of Anapa and the Temryuk district were confirmed. As of today, there are no deviations from the norm in the water of the Black Sea from Gelendzhik to the border with Abkhazia," Interfax quoted her as saying.

At the same time, the management of the sanatorium "Holidays in Anapa" recommends that guests use shoe covers when visiting the beaches. "Dear guests! Due to the current situation with the oil spill in the Kerch Strait, we kindly ask you to refrain from visiting the beaches in the coming days," reads one of the announcements, a photo of which was posted on August 17 in the Telegram channel "Anapa in Focus: Denis's Blog."
