A soldier from the Volgograd region was killed in a special operation zone

Vladimir Shevtsov from Novoanninsky District was killed in the SVO zone. Since its beginning, at least 1,302 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, by August 17, the authorities had named at least 1,301 fighters from the Volgograd region killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Vladimir Shevtsov signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in September 2024. In early February 2025, his relatives lost contact with the fighter. Later it became officially known that 51-year-old Vladimir was killed in the SVO zone.

The fighter was buried in the Galushkinsky farm of the Novoanninsky district of the Volgograd region, the regional news agency V102.ru reported with reference to "Novoanninsky today".

Thus, at least 1,302 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
