One of organizers of tomorrow's meeting in Ingushetia detained by MIA

At the present moment, Mukhmed Gazdiev, one of the co-chairmen of the organizing committee of the meeting due to take place tomorrow, on November 24, is kept, together with some members of his family, in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia.

It has become known to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that shortly before the detention, Mr Gazdiev's house was visited by 2-3 MIA employees, who were accompanied by about 20 agents of unidentified power structures of Russia. They arrived in an UAZ van and the so-called "tablet" car.

No pressure was exerted on Mr Gazdiev; however, the MIA employees let him know that they would not leave without him. They said that is was not an arrest but just an invitation to a conversation with the Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia Yuri Turygin. However, while approaching the city of Nazran the MIA officers suddenly changed the route and brought Mukhmed Gazdiev with the relatives who were accompanying him to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia.

Mr Gazdiev himself is not aware about the cause of his invitation, but he is sure that the authorities will demand to refuse the idea of holding the meeting in Ingushetia.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that on November 21 a warning of the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia was sent to several potential organizers of the non-sanctioned meeting stating the illegality of the event.
