The head of the Alagir district administration of Severnaya was arrested for the second time in 14 months

The charge of land fraud with two plots of 0.6 hectares was the reason for the arrest of German Gagiev, who had previously been released from custody as part of the investigation of another case.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, in April the court agreed to soften the measure of restraint for the head of the Alagirsky District administration, accused of illegally selling land plots with damages of 20 million rubles.

The court arrested the head of the local government administration of the Alagir district of North Ossetia until September 18. "A preventive measure has been chosen against the head of the local government administration of the Alagir district, accused of fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale," the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for North Ossetia said in a message on the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

According to investigators, in March 2023, the official conspired with a former cadastral engineer and two men, one of whom was his relative, to obtain ownership of property in the village of Khidikus. After that, he prepared documents on the basis of which two plots of land with an area of 6 thousand square meters were illegally transferred to the ownership of the men. The damage caused to the budget is estimated at over 10 million rubles, the Investigative Committee reported.

It should be noted that on the website of the Alagir Municipal District Administration, German Gagiev is still listed as the head of the administration, while Islam Dzantiev is listed as the head of the district.
