Droa Party Leader Khoshtaria Announces Accounts Seized

The accounts of the opposition party "Droa" and its leader Elene Khoshtaria have been frozen in Georgia.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, on March 28, security forces detained the leader of the "Droa" party Elene Khoshtaria at the site of a protest near the Georgian parliament. She was released from the detention center a day after her arrest. Khoshtaria is accused of petty hooliganism and disobeying the police. She denied the charges and refused to participate in the court hearings.

Elene Khoshtaria reported on the arrest of the party's accounts and personal accounts on July 22, writes "Gruzia-online".

She noted that she "placed the donations in a safe place" and only 17 lari (a little more than six dollars) were written off from the accounts. "You will not get any fines from me, nor will I show up for any interrogations or even a single court hearing," the publication quotes Khoshtaria's publication as saying.
