Drone attack in Rostov region leads to new train delays

The schedule of 26 passenger trains was disrupted today as a result of a drone attack on the Kamenolomny railway station in the Rostov region.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, last night as a result of a drone attack, the roof of the railway station in the village of Kamenolomny in the Oktyabrsky district caught fire. Three people were evacuated from the control center. A flower shop caught fire in the same village. Later the fires were extinguished.

A fire train was deployed to extinguish a fire that broke out after "a UAV fragment fell" at the Kamenolomny station, the North Caucasian Railway reported.

"The incident led to a disruption in the passenger train schedule. 26 passenger trains are delayed en route for between 13 minutes and 4.5 hours. Movement through the Kamenolomny station is carried out at a reduced speed," says a publication posted on the official Telegram channel "Telegram SKZhD".

Recall that on the night of July 19 in the Rostov Region, a female railway employee on duty was injured as a result of a drone attack. at Likhaya station. She was taken to hospital and then transported to the Rostov clinic by Russian Railways.

Due to damage to the railway's electrical network on the Likhaya-Zamchalovo section, train service was suspended. It was resumed the same day, but the incident led to delays in the movement of trains. The next day, July 20, 132 passenger trains were delayed for periods ranging from half an hour to 15 hours, and the schedule of 10 trains was also changed.
