Khizriev ruled out the version of attack due to debts

Dagestani MMA fighter Timur Khizriev denied the information that the attack on him was committed because of a large debt. According to the athlete, he had no debts and did not have conflicts with anyone.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, the attack on Timur Khizriev is being investigated under the criminal article on intentional harm to health. According to the preliminary version, the conflict occurred between Khizriev and one of the attackers - his 30-year-old acquaintance - due to debt obligations in connection with the purchase of a car, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. According to sources, Khizriev took about 30 million rubles to buy an SUV and was unable to pay the amount back on time.

Never owed anyone

"I would like to speak out regarding the information on the Internet and social networks that I owe 30 million rubles [to an acquaintance]. I want to say that I have never owed anyone. I had verbal altercations with this person before, which were exhausted a long time ago. Evidence of this is the purchase and sale agreement that I had with a completely different person regarding this car," Khizriev said.

He once again emphasized that he "never owed anyone money." "I don't know, I can't even understand why they attacked me, since I had never had any conflicts with anyone before. The attackers were wearing masks," the athlete said.

The attack on Khizriev took place on the evening of July 15 on Danialova Street in Makhachkala. Two people ambushed him in the courtyard of his house and shot at him when he got out of his car. Khizriev was hospitalized with five wounds.

On July 16, a video of the attack was published, recorded by a street surveillance camera. The footage shows Khizriev getting out of an SUV, after which a man runs up to him and shoots at the athlete. During the ensuing scuffle, both fall to the asphalt, at which point another man runs up and also shoots at Timur Khizriev. He gets up and runs away, and one of the attackers shoots him twice more.
