A queue of cars formed in front of the Crimean Bridge in Kuban

Drivers and passengers of 485 cars are waiting to cross the bridge across the Kerch Strait in Krasnodar Krai.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, on the morning of July 14, there were 1,250 cars in line to the Crimean Bridge from the Taman side . There was no line in front of the inspection point from the Kerch side. Water distribution has been organized at the approaches to the Crimean Bridge, the Kuban operational headquarters reported on July 13.

As of 07:00 Moscow time, 485 cars are in the queue to the Crimean Bridge from the Taman side, the Information Center for Highways to the Crimean Bridge reported on its Telegram channel. "The wait is about two hours. There is no queue in front of the inspection point from the Kerch side," the report says.

According to hourly publications, there were no difficulties in getting to the inspection points until midnight. Then the traffic on the bridge was blocked and resumed at about 01.43 Moscow time, after which a traffic jam formed in front of the bridge.

There is a big traffic jam on the Taman side

Today, users of the "Crimean Bridge Chat" Telegram chat also reported traffic jams in front of the bridge. "There is a big traffic jam on the Taman side," Yulia wrote at 06.31 Moscow time.

"We have been waiting on the scanner on the Taman side since 3-30, at 5 we have advanced 50 meters," ok shared. "We got stuck in a traffic jam from the Taman side at 5.40. Now we're already on the bridge, heading towards Crimea," Elvira Kazakova wrote at 06.47 Moscow time.

Recall that on July 17, 2023, the Crimean Bridge was attacked by Ukrainian drones, one span was destroyed, another was damaged. Traffic on the bridge was restored only on November 1 of the same year.

On October 8, 2022, an explosion occurred on the Crimean Bridge, two spans collapsed. Vladimir Putin called the incident a terrorist attack, the FSB said that the organizer of the terrorist attack was the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Traffic on the bridge was resumed a month later.
