Rostov Region resident complains about refusal to provide medicines for disabled child

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation demanded an investigation into a complaint filed by a resident of the Rostov Region that, contrary to a court decision, her disabled son was not being given the necessary medications.

A resident of the village of Kagalnitskaya in the Rostov Region contacted the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation information center with a complaint about the violation of the rights of her two-year-old disabled son, the agency reported today on its Telegram channel.

"The boy needs to take a vital medication, but the employees of the relevant structures did not purchase it in a timely manner, the family was offered analogues, which the applicant does not agree with. Despite the court's decision in favor of the child, he has not been provided with the medication to date," the publication says.

The agency did not specify when and which court ruled in favor of the woman. "The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region has launched a procedural investigation into the appeal received. Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region Aslan Garunovich Khuade to report on the interim results of the procedural investigation and the decision taken as a result," the report notes.

"Caucasian Knot" also wrote that in March the court ordered doctors to pay a resident of Dagestan compensation for delays in issuing vital medications to his son.
