Ural Airlines has started selling tickets for flights to Gelendzhik

The air carrier Ural Airlines announced the resumption of flights to Gelendzhik airport, which was closed after the start of the military operation in Ukraine.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on July 9, the Ministry of Transport announced that Gelendzhik airport will be opened in the near future for domestic flights. The possibility of safe flights to Gelendzhik airport has been confirmed by specialists from Rosaviatsia and the State Corporation for Air Traffic Management, the department reported.

The airline Ural Airlines has begun selling tickets for flights to Gelendzhik, Kommersant reports with reference to the press service of the carrier. The first flight to Gelendzhik is scheduled for July 24. The flights will be operated from Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, the publication writes.

Earlier, on July 11, S7 Airlines announced that it would resume flights to Gelendzhik from Novosibirsk on August 7, and from Moscow on August 8. Flights from Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo Airport will be operated twice a week, and from Domodedovo - four times a week, the publication reported on the same day.

According to data on the Ural Airlines website, the next flight U6-115 from Moscow to Gelendzhik is scheduled for 13.20 Moscow time on July 24. The cost of a ticket, depending on the class, varies from 19,259 rubles to 45,254 rubles.

Recall that airports in the south of Russia, which operate under the conditions of the military operation in Ukraine, are periodically closed due to the threat of drone attacks. Thus, on June 29, the airports of Volgograd and Elista stopped accepting and sending flights. The restrictions were lifted on the same day.

On July 6, passengers at the Sochi airport faced a multi-hour wait for departure due to the introduction of the "Carpet" plan at the airports of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

After the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the airports of Anapa, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don suspended operations on March 2, 2022.
