Tumso Abdurakhmanov* fined for violating foreign agent behaviour rules

The Akhmatovsky District Court of Grozny court has fined Tumso Abdurakhmanov*, an oppositional blogger who lives abroad, within an administrative case of violating the rules set forth for the activities of a foreign agent.

The court session held on May 12 on the above case issued a ruling to impose an administrative penalty, as indicated in the case card posted on the website of the above court and updated on May 15.

The fine amount is not indicated in the post. The text of the ruling with details of the charges and the decision was also absent in the above case card as of 12:45 a.m. Moscow time on May 16.

Let us recall that Part 1 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation provides for a fine of 30,000 to 50,000 roubles for individuals for "carrying out activities as a foreign agent by a person not included into the register of foreign agents."
