Humiliation of eyewitnesses to incident with Chechen natives results in series of public apologies
Two young people and teenager’s parents publicly apologized for humiliating schoolchildren who were forced to apologize for taking photos and videos and testifying against natives of Chechnya.
In Saint Petersburg, natives of Chechnya started a fight and rendered resistance when fighters of the “Rosgvardiya” (National Guard of Russia) attempted to detain them. The teenagers who were passing by witnessed the situation and filmed the incident with their mobile phones, posted the footage on the Internet, and testified against a participant in the fight. However, videos soon appeared on the Internet in which those teenagers were kneeling and asking for forgiveness for their actions, the “Bloknot” portal reported.

The parents of the schoolboy who forced the teenager to apologize while staying on his knees themselves asked for forgiveness. “The schoolboy himself apologized. The apologies were voiced after law enforcers visited the family,” the “Kolpino Tut” Telegram channel reports.
“We are very sorry for what has happened to the boy, and in the future, we will raise our child better,” the woman states in the video. In his turn, the man reports that he is the father of the teenager who “did the wrong thing” by putting his classmate on the knees.
