Woman from Vladikavkaz fined for criticizing police
In Vladikavkaz, a court fined Alina Torchinova 10,000 roubles for a comment criticizing inspectors of the road police (known as GIBDD).
The ruling of the Promyshlenny District Court of Vladikavkaz notes that the administrative case was instituted because of an entry on Telegram “containing statements aimed at inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity on the basis of gender, race, nationality, language, origin.”
Alina Torchinova posted a voice comment in which she accused GIBDD inspectors of corruption, called them “shameless,” and used several other unflattering epithets in relation to them. At the same time, the woman claimed that now they will “find something wrong in her statement and sue” her.
