Defence demands to release Volgograd lawyer Ruslan Nurushev

Ruslan Nurushev, a Volgograd lawyer, has been brought final charges under the article on spreading fakes about the Russian Army. The defence has asked the court to schedule a preliminary hearing and consider the issue of Nurushev's release.

The reason for prosecuting Nurushev was in his post placed in a social network about a missile strike on Kharkov. He has admitted his authorship of the post, but rejected the charge. The court placed him under arrest. His defence insists on Nurushev's innocence.

Eduard Yapparov, Ruslan's advocate, said that investigators had brought final charges against his client. "We have stated the need to schedule a preliminary hearing and demanded that Nurushev be immediately released as innocent," the advocate has informed.
