Protraction of murder case of 19-year-old Sultanov in Dagestan outrages his relatives

The court that considers the murder case of Magomed-Ali Sultanov, 19, a resident of Dagestan, has again postponed the decision on conducting an expertise, which has outraged the casualty's relatives.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 2, after a month of deliberation, the prosecutor gave his consent to conduct a new examination of Sultanov's body. However, the judge has postponed making a decision on this issue, explaining that he needed to study the previous examinations.

On August 8, the advocate for Sultanov's parents demanded that a new examination be ordered, pointing out inaccuracies in experts' conclusions.

At the court hearing on October 31, the decision on conducting a new examination was again postponed, Ilyas Saidov, an advocate, has informed.

Ilmiyamin Sultanov, the casualty's father is outraged by the protraction of the trial. "I'll say it straight out: this is because everyone has sold out," he has stated.

Let us remind you that on May 30, 2024, an expert from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky admitted in court that in his report he had failed to describe all the wounds on the body. In this regard, the case should be sent for additional investigation, the advocate insists.

There is only one defendant in the Sultanov murder case. According to investigators, on November 10, 2022, in the village of Usemikent, he stabbed Sultanov multiple times, and he died from his wounds. However, it follows from the video released by the police, that four people were involved in the brawl.
