Calls for anti-Chechen actions find no support in Ingushetia
Residents of Ingushetia have ignored calls to go to protest actions in connection with Ramzan Kadyrov's statement.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that one of the Ingush Telegram channels posted a call to go out to an action in order to "show Kadyrov's men" that Ingushes cannot be insulted. Ingush authorities called on residents "not to respond to provocations" and threatened fines and arrests for participating in unsanctioned events.
The authors of the appeals posted in the WhatsApp* called for gathering not only on October 10, but also on October 11 "after the Juma namaz (prayer)," and to stop cars with Chechen license plates.
On October 9, Ramzan Kadyrov, while speaking about the conflict around the Wildberries Company, mentioned Suleiman Kerimov, Senator from Dagestan, and Russian State Duma MPs, Bekkhan Barakhoev and Rizvan Kurbanov. He called on them to prove their non-involvement in ordering his murder and warned of his readiness to declare a blood feud against them. For more details about the conflict, watch the video.
At the same time, the calls to gather in order to shave drivers from Chechnya have surprised commentators in the Telegram channel of the Ingush outlet "Fortanga".
"I think they themselves launched these screenshots to show Ingushes in a bad light," the user Khalid has commented on the spread calls.
"Neither we nor Chechens need such provocations. Don't succumb to them," the user under the nickname "Echo of the Mountains" has urged.
Akhmed Tangiev, a theologian, has called on the residents of Ingushetia not to let emotions "get the better of themselves." His appeal was posted on the Instagram* by the public novosti_ingusheti2.
"Before doing something, we – Muslims – must know whether this information is true or not, and who it comes from," said Akhmed Tangiev.
Let us remind you that on October 9, Ramzan Kadyrov, while speaking about the conflict around the Wildberries Company, mentioned Suleiman Kerimov, Senator from Dagestan, and Russian State Duma MPs, Bekkhan Barakhoev and Rizvan Kurbanov. He called on them to prove their non-involvement in the order for his murder and warned them of his readiness to declare a blood feud against them.
The blood feud is not declared because of business conflicts or criticism; and in the Vainakh traditions there is no such thing as a threat to declare blood feud, the Caucasian experts have noted.
