Kadyrov boasts of transferring "Jihad-vehicles" for SMO needs
The first batch of "Jihad-vehicles", the manufacture of which has been launched in Chechnya, was transferred for the needs of the special military operation (SMO), Ramzan Kadyrov has announced.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in January 2023, it became known that by using the "Chechenavto" base, Chechen authorities intended to start making "Jihad-vehicles" for military purposes.
"Jihad-vehicles" or "Jihad-mobiles are the name given to suicide bombers' vehicles used for self-explosions. They were used, in particular, during the second Chechen campaign.
Kadyrov has handed the first Chechen-made 100 "Jihad-vehicles" for the needs of the SMO; they will be distributed by the "People's Front" public movement, the TASS News Agency reports. "In a short period of time, we managed to launch serial production of 'Jihad-vehicles'," the agency has quoted Kadyrov as saying.
Towards the end of the year, they plan to make 386 vehicles more, Adam Khakimov, deputy director of the administrative department of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, has promised, as the "Chechnya Today" outlet has informed.
