Krasnodar resident fined for pacifist picket

A court in Krasnodar has fined a local resident by 30,000 roubles by treating his solo picket with a pacifist slogan as discrediting the Russian Army.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Krasnodar, law enforcers had drawn up a protocol under the article on discrediting the Russian Army against a man detained at a picket with a pacifist appeal.

The Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar has fined Dmitry Polyakov for his picket with a pacifist poster, the human rights project “OVD-Info”* has informed with reference to the advocate, Maria Spasibukhova.

*Included by the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) into the register of foreign agents.
