Pyatigorsk resident detained for post in support of Navalny
Policemen have been holding Roman Mirkin, a Pyatigorsk resident, for the second day, accusing him of displaying prohibited symbols in his personal correspondence on the Telegram. Mirkin had also placed posts in support of Alexei Navalny in social networks, human rights defenders have informed.
On March 13, in Pyatigorsk, Roman Mirkin was detained while giving an explanation. According to his wife, the reason for the detention was Roman's statements in support of Alexei Navalny, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reported.
Mirkin is charged under the article about the demonstration of prohibited symbols due to his voice message in his personal correspondence on the Telegram. Besides, he had placed posts in support of Alexei Navalny on the Facebook**.
