Verdict to Mikhail Filatov, who set fire to military commissariat, upheld
The Court of Appeal has approved the verdict passed to Mikhail Filatov, a resident of Uryupinsk, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for setting fire to a military commissariat (registration and enlistment office).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the fire in the commissariat building of the Uryupinsk and Novonikolaevsk Districts occurred on September 26, 2022. On the same day, the Uryupinsk administration reported that the suspect was detained, and the damage from the fire was minimal. Filatov was charged under the article of a terror act; and in October 2023, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
The Military Court of Appeal in Vlasikha has upheld the verdict to Mikhail Filatov, sentenced to 12 years in jail for arson of the above military commissariat, the "OVD-Info"* project has reported.
