Law enforcers draw up protocol against Krasnodar activist on insulting authorities

A post in a social network about Vladimir Putin has resulted in a protocol against Anatoly Lileikin, a Krasnodar activist.

On November 7, policemen came to Lileikin's home and drew up a protocol against him under the administrative article of insulting authorities because of Vladimir's post demanding Putin's resignation, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reported.

According to the project, in 2019, Lileikin was fined by 70,000 roubles also under the article of insulting authorities because of his post about Putin. Also in 2019, Lileikin held a solo picket near the administration building of the Krasnodar Territory with a poster about the Russian President. Then he was charged with insulting authorities, but the court stopped the case due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in June 2011, Anatoly Lileikin, a pensioner, was sentenced to two years of freedom deprivation within a libel case. He continued serving his sentence even after the article under which he was convicted was removed away from the Criminal Code.
