Law enforcers stop action in Khasavyurt against Israelis' arrival

Hundreds of people gathered outside a hotel in Khasavyurt after reports in social networks that refugees from Israel had been accommodated at the hotel. Law enforcers allowed the protesters to get convinced that only tourists from Russia were among the hotel guests, after which the protesters dispersed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the aggravation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict evoked a response among Muslims of Northern Caucasus. Thus, on October 17, residents of Dagestan tried to hold a rally in Makhachkala, which was dispersed by law enforcers. Later, the Dagestani Muftiate reported about of thousands of Muslims who prayed in support of Palestine.

A video of an alleged mass rally near the "Flamingo" Hotel in Khasavyurt was posted by the "RusNews" Telegram channel. Residents gathered there after reports appeared in social networks that refugees from Israel who had relatives in Dagestan had been placed into this hotel. The police had to intervene.

The hostilities between Israel and the Palestinian "Hamas" movement broke out on October 7, resulting in deaths of thousands of people on both sides.

The "Hamas" Islamic movement was recognized as terrorist, in particular, by France and the European Union. However, none of its members has ever been convicted in Russia.
