Man accused in “case on fakes” in Dagestan sent for compulsory treatment

In the Shamil District, a court sent local resident Shamil Magdiev for compulsory treatment to a psychoneurological dispensary. According to the investigators’ version, the man posted on a social network a video with false information about Russian militaries.

Shamil Magdiev posted a video message “to the imams and preachers of the fraternal peoples of the Caucasus, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan.” The video contained pacifist appeals of Aider Rustemov, Mufti of Crimea. Investigators found that the video also contained false information about Russian militaries.

At the time when the court pronounced its decision, Shamil Magdiev was already undergoing compulsory treatment in a psychiatric dispensary, where he was placed on another criminal case on the illegal acquisition and possession of weapons.

The “Caucasian Knot” has also reported that the Sergokalinsky District Court fined local resident Bagomed Bagomedov under the article on discrediting Russian militaries.
