Fifth figurant in Kurban Dalgatov's death case arrested

Bulat Medjidov, a former operative agent of the police division in Makhachkala, has been arrested until August 21 within the case of abuse of power with the use of torture.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 3, it became known that another law enforcer had been detained in connection with the death of Kurban Dalgatov after his detention. Bulat Medjidov, the new detainee, is charged not with involvement in the murder of Dalgatov, but with the use of violence against two of his friends, Shamil Khadulaev, a member of the Dagestani Public Chamber, has informed.

In January this year, three suspects, police operative agents, were arrested under the case of Dalgatov's death, and the head of the ROVD (District Interior Division) and three of his deputies were removed from work. In April, investigators reported on the detention of the fourth policeman. The case is being investigated under the article of abuse of power.

Medjidov has been arrested until August 21, 2023, the "Interfax-South" reported on July 4, citing the press service of the Supreme Court of Dagestan. Investigators believe that Medjidov, together with his colleagues, used torture on the Makhachkala resident brought to the police department.
