Woman from Kuban accused of discrediting Russian militaries
Law enforcers have drawn up a protocol on discrediting the Russian Army against Maria Kunchenko, a resident of Kuban (the Krasnodar Territory), who had posted leaflets with anti-mobilization calls in the village of Grigorievskaya.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2022 alone, the courts of the Krasnodar Territory considered 254 administrative cases under the article on discrediting the Russian Armed Forces; the overall amount of imposed fines exceeded 7 million roubles.
Policemen came to Maria Kunchenko two days after she was posting the leaflets. An employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) took the woman to the precinct police station, where a protocol was drawn up against her under the article on discrediting Russian militaries, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reported.
Maria herself explained that she posted leaflets against mobilization in the village of Grigorievskaya on March 21. The woman's leaflets contained, in particular, a call to avoid summonses and military commissariats (registration and enlistment offices).
