Kadyrov equates those who do not want to go to Ukraine to unbelievers
Residents of Chechnya should be ready to participate in the special military operation in Ukraine in any military unit, and the reluctance to go there indicates a lack of faith, Ramzan Kadyrov states. The leader of Chechnya has reminded that the military special operation in Ukraine is a jihad for Chechen fighters.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the authorities and religious figures of Chechnya have repeatedly called the special military operation in Ukraine a jihad and urged Muslims to go to participate in it.
“For every Chechen fighter, the special military operation is a holy jihad, a war against European filth in the form of the dirtiest lack of culture, attacks on religious and traditional values,” the leader of Chechnya wrote on his Telegram channel.
Ramzan Kadyrov attached to his message a video, in which commanders of the Chechen military units named the fight against Satanism, the protection of religion and family values as the goals of participation in the special military operation in Ukraine. Furthermore, they declared that they were on “holy jihad.”
In July 2022, it became known that imams were recruited into the law enforcement bodies of Chechnya. This suggests that the recruiting campaign has become unpopular due to the special military operation in Ukraine, analysts emphasize.
On December 29, 2022, Ramzan Kadyrov announced that all participants in the special military operation in Ukraine from Chechnya, including law enforcers, went to it by their own will.
