At action in support of Dagestani journalist Gadjiev, law enforcers limited themselves to demand for explanations

Policemen did not interfere with solo pickets in Makhachkala in support of the journalist Abdulmumin Gadjiev, but they took written explanations from picketers, the journalist, Idris Yusupov, has informed.

On March 6, in Makhachkala, the journalists, Magomed Magomedov and Idris Yusupov, held two solo pickets demanding an end to the criminal prosecution of Gadjiev and the release of political prisoners.

Gadjiev's case is lost amid other news from Russia and Dagestan; and such pickets remind people of his fate, his friends pointed out on February 20 after another series of solo pickets.

There were no attempts to interfere with the above solo actions; and the reaction of the police to the pickets was restrained, said Idris Yusupov, a journalist with the "Novoye Delo" outlet.

Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" outlet, has added that the outlet's staff is convinced of Gadjiev's innocence and demands his release.

Abdulmumin Gadjiev, one of the editors of the "Chernovik", Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" Charity Fund, and Kemal Tambiev, an activist, have been in custody since June 2019 on charges of financing terrorism.

On March 2, at the Southern District Military Court, the defendants' advocates completed the presentation of their evidence.
