Volgograd resident fined for discrediting militaries

A court in Volgograd has fined Alexander Moskovchenko, a local resident, finding that the phrases pronounced by him in support of Ukraine had discredited the Russian Army.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, 2022, liability for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces was introduced, after which residents of Southern Russia and Northern Caucasus began to be held accountable under this article.

According to investigators, on January 18, 2023, near the hospital, Moskovchenko shouted phrases in support of Ukraine. He himself has stated that he had a conflict with a stranger when discussing the special military operation (SMO) and that, to spite him, he pronounced only one phrase in support of Ukraine, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that the court had fined Yuri Goryushkin from Volgograd, finding that his comment posted in a social network had discredited Russian militaries.
