Court obliges unit commander from Chechnya to consider military's report on payment for the wound

The Grozny Garrison Military Court has obliged the commander of the military unit to consider the report lodged by Zelimkhan Ayubov, on the payment of compensation for the wound he received in Ukraine, but the unit's commend has challenged the ruling. The Southern District Military Court has upheld the first-instance judgement.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don had declared illegal the refusal of the command of the military unit to consider the serviceman's report on payment for the wound received in Ukraine, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports.

Zelimkhan Ayubov appealed to the court demanding to treat the inaction of his military unit commander as illegal, as the latter has refused to consider his report with a request to pay three million roubles for a wound received at the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine. On May 7, 2022, the soldier received a mine-explosive wound and was treated at hospital.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that Maxim Ivanov, a Russian State Duma MP, reported about the mass of complaints from the militaries, who received wounds in the SMO in Ukraine, stating that they could not receive due certificates at hospitals of Southern Russia needed for subsequent payments. According to the MP, the problem exists, in particular, at hospitals in Anapa and Rostov-on-Don.
