Governor to redirect to refugees 1.5 billion roubles from payments to pensioners in Kuban
The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory instructed his subordinates to allocate almost 1.5 billion roubles intended for Kuban pensioners, veterans of labour, and victims of political repressions to support migrants from the zone of the special military operation.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on November 13, 2022, the authorities reported that residents of the Kherson Region, evacuated to the Krasnodar Territory, have the right to receive free housing in Kuban. Telegram users were surprised by the volume of assistance to the evacuees. Both the local people and those who had evacuated earlier were deprived of such support, the social media users noted.
The authorities decided to allocate about 1.5 billion roubles, provided in the budget for compensation to the poor and socially unprotected residents of Kuban, for the maintenance and nutrition of people evacuated to the Krasnodar Territory, the “Kavkaz.Realii”* reports.
According to the decree posted on the official website of the Kuban administration, the Kuban Ministry of Finance was ordered to reduce the amount of budget allocations to the Ministry of Labour in the amount of 1,493,656,200 roubles. The money was intended to compensate for the cost of housing and utilities for veterans of labour and military service, victims of political repression, and pensioners.
