In Dagestan, police disrupt picket in defence of journalist Gadjiev

The police took to a police station journalist Idris Yusupov and Magomed Magomedov, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Dagestani weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft), who went out to solo pickets in Makhachkala.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the police regularly prevent pickets in support of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, a journalist of the newspaper “Chernovik”, and detain activists.

Today, Idris Yusupov and Magomed Magomedov have decided to hold solo pickets in defence of Abdulmumin Gadjiev.

According to Idris Yusupov, the police explained the detention of the activists by the fact that they received a message “about the organization of mass riots.”
