Kadyrov denies forced sending Chechens to frontline

All the participants from Chechnya in the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine, including law enforcers, have gone there voluntarily, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kadyrov is regularly reporting about sending groups of volunteers to Ukraine; and on November 19, he stated that the volunteers "have already become the main driving force of the SMO."

Since the start of the Russia's SMO in Ukraine, Kadyrov has repeatedly come up with various initiatives; for example, before the start of the partial mobilization, he proposed to launch self-mobilization in Russian regions. Now, he is looking for new mobilization resources in Chechnya, but the addressees of his appeals are ideologically unwilling to take part in hostilities, analysts assert.

The head of Chechnya has assured that all the Chechens had left for the SMO in Ukraine voluntarily, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

On September 21, Kadyrov confirmed that a rally of mobilization opponents was held in Grozny; he treated them as people's enemies and suggested to send the protesting women's husbands to Ukraine. On October 2, he announced that 24 protesters' relatives had been sent to the SMO in Ukraine.

On August 22, Kadyrov threatened to deprive the families of those low-income families of Chechnya, whose young people refused to enlist in the new Chechen units.

On July 28, relatives of contract servicemen stated that a native of a Chechen village was re-sent to Ukraine against his will.

On July 14, Kadyrov threatened with hell those who would admit the idea of refusing to go to Ukraine.

On May 13, the "Vayfond" human rights association reported that dozens of Chechen residents had asked for help to leave Russia to avoid being sent to Ukraine.
