Kadyrov boasts of sending new group of volunteers to SMO zone

A group of volunteers trained at the Russian Special Forces University has departed from Grozny Airport to the special military operation (SMO) zone, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kadyrov is regularly reporting about sending groups of volunteers to Ukraine, including those who came to Chechnya from other Russian regions. In particular, he reported on this on December 1, November 27, November 19 and November 11. On November 19, Kadyrov declared that volunteers "had become the main driving force of the SMO."

As follows from the video posted in the Telegram channel of the head of Chechnya, at least a hundred duly equipped fighters were present at the formation. Among those who went to Ukraine there were volunteers from Dagestan, Buryatia, Orenburg, Pskov and the Belgorod Region.

A volunteer from Dagestan said that he had decided to go to the SMO zone so that he would not be ashamed before his children. "Children will grow up; my kid will cite a neighbour whose father has perished at the frontline; and he will ask me about where I was. What should I answer him?" he said in the video.

Ruslan Kutaev, the president of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, has reported that he knows cases of forced sending of residents of Chechnya to Ukraine. In case of refusal to participate in the SMO, residents of Chechnya may face pressure and threats of being fired from their jobs.
