Kadyrov announces new POW exchanges with Ukraine

The head of Chechnya has expressed satisfaction with the return of 107 Russian prisoners of war (POWs) from Ukraine to their homeland and said that new lists had been drawn up for further exchanges. Ramzan Kadyrov has added that a State Duma MP from Chechnya took part in the talks; while earlier, Kadyrov criticized the "unequal exchange," in preparation for which the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the FSB failed to consult with "active participants in the special operation."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 22, Kadyrov expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the exchange of POWs, which was organized by the MoD and the FSB. According to Kadyrov, the exchange was held on Ukrainian terms.

On November 3, the MoD announced another exchange of POWs. "107 Russian servicemen have been returned," says the MoD's Telegram channel.

Kadyrov has stated that he was "very happy about the release of another group of Russian servicemen from captivity." According to his story, Shamsail Saraliev, a State Duma MP from Chechnya took part in the negotiations, which were difficult.

"Several more exchanges of POWs are planned in the near future with the participation of State Duma MPs ... The lists have already been drawn up and all the necessary agreements have been reached," Ramzan Kadyrov has added.

After the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Kadyrov has repeatedly criticized the actions of the Russian MoD and army generals in Ukraine.
