In Kuban, officials explain draft notices by concern for those liable for military service
In Kuban, draft notices on behalf of the head of a rural settlement were “of preliminary nature”, being sent in order to save those liable for the military service from punishment for failing to appear at military registration and enlistment office for mobilization, the Kuban administration explained.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that violations during the mobilization were recorded in Kuban. So, relatives of Vasily Malinochka, a 38-year-old resident of Krasnodar, succeeded in seeking the cancellation of the decision to mobilize him, pointing out that the man suffered from a visual impairment and had a specialty that allowed deferment from the military service.
The head of the Poselkovoye rural settlement in the Timashevsky District issued draft notices for local men, the “Podyom” (Rise) publication reports.
An official from the Kuban administration explained that the “preliminary draft notices” were sent in order to prevent residents from being punished for failing to appear at the military registration and enlistment office.
“It was a concern for citizens, because it is known how absenteeism at the military registration and enlistment office is now punished,” said the official from the Kuban administration as quoted by the “Podyom” publication.
Let us remind you that on September 21, the day the mobilization was announced, the order of the military commissar for the Yeisk and Scherbinovsky Districts of Kuban was published, which contained a ban on those liable for the military service to leave their settlements. The Kuban military registration and enlistment office admitted that the military commissar mistakenly forbade those liable for the military service to leave their place of residence.
