In Nalchik, women demand to mobilize children of officials

The women who came to a protest action against the mobilization in Nalchik asked the officials who came out to the protesters whether they had sent their children to the special military operation. In response, the officials suggested the women to state their claims in writing and promised to return those illegally mobilized, if any.

At the protest action, the women complained about the fact that men from Kabardino-Balkaria were being drafted to the army during the partial mobilization. The protestors asked how many more people would be taken.

Instead of answering the protestors’ questions about the mobilization, the officials accused the protesters of PR steps. The officials also promised to “bring back” those who were mobilized in violation of the norms established by the decree of the President of Russia.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on September 25, at a protest action in Nalchik, residents of Kabardino-Balkaria demanded not to mobilize their relatives and also insisted on a meeting with the leader of the republic. The women expressed the fear for their husbands and sons and said that it would be unacceptable to allow men without professional skills in military affairs to be sent to the special military operation zone.
