Gadjiev’s colleagues hold pickets in Makhachkala

In Makhachkala, two solo pickets were held by journalists Magomed Magomedov and Idris Yusupov with the demand to stop the criminal prosecution of Abdulmumin Gadjiev and to release political prisoners.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that colleagues of Abdulmumin Gadjiev regularly hold solo pickets in the centre of Makhachkala in support of him.

Today, two solo pickets have been held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Moscow time by Abdulmumin Gadjiev’s colleagues at the intersection of Gamzatov and Dakhadaev Streets, not far from the complex of buildings of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the FSB Department for Dagestan, the weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft) reports in its Telegram channel.

“We demand freedom for journalist Abdulmumin Gadjiev, and we demand to close the absurd criminal case against him,” states the “Chernovik” in its post, illustrated with a photograph of Magomed Magomedov standing with a poster reading: “Freedom to Abdulmumin Gadjiev.”

Idris Yusupov held a solo picket at the same place, he came out with a poster reading “Freedom to political prisoners!”, follows from another post of the “Chernovik”. “The picketer demands from the authorities to give freedom to political prisoners,” the message explains.
