Lawyer: Rasul Kudaev, prisoner in Kabardino-Balkaria, sick with infectious hepatitis
A resident of Kabardino-Balkaria Rasul Kudaev, who is kept at the investigatory detention facility (SIZO) of the Chief Department for Enforcement of Punishments of the Russian Federation for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) on accusation of taking part in the attack on KBR's law enforcement bodies on October 13, 2005, is sick with infectious hepatitis. Advocate Magomed Abubakarov, who is representing Rasul Kudaev's interests, told about it to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to the advocate, when he saw Rasul Kudaev last Saturday, his face and eyes' sclera were yellowish. Mr Abubakarov said: "Rasul get no medical aid, he is still kept in a general custody cell."
Magomed Abubakarov added that he had filed complaints against the actions of the SIZO administration both to the KBR Prosecutor's Office and to the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Russia.
It has become known that Rasul Kudaev was complaining on his liver problems after his return from the American Guantanamo prison, where, as he had reported, new medical preparations were tested on the inmates.
