Video of a half-naked tourist in Vladikavkaz provokes disputes in social media
The behaviour of a young woman in extremely short shorts who came to buy groceries in Vladikavkaz was unacceptable, but none of those around her reprimanded her, users of the Telegram channel noted.
On August 16, the “ChP Kavkaz” Telegram channel posted a video, which showed a young woman in extremely short shorts walking through a grocery store in Vladikavkaz. The description under the video proposes to “draw up a Code of Tourist Rules” and “distribute it at the airport to everyone arriving in Ossetia.”
In their comments to the video, some users condemned the young woman. “She should have been banned from entering public places! She has no shame, no conscience, no respect for the older generation,” user Margarita Andieva wrote. “If she got dressed like that in Chechnya, she would have already apologized publicly,” stated a user with the image of a woman in a headscarf as a nickname. “The person should not film this girl, but approach her and make a remark to her,” user AE emphasized.
Some users note in their comments that the authorities should take measures in connection with such behaviour of tourists or limit the appearance in public places of tourists in excessively revealing clothes. “The Caucasus is turning slowly into Thailand. Tourism should be restricted, don’t you think?” user Igor Ivanov asked.
Other users argued that the young woman might not know how to behave in the Caucasus. “She’s just a tourist. How could she know about dressing traditions?” user "? ?" noted. “Let her walk in whatever suits her,” user Natalia Dubnova supported.
