On July 18, law enforcers brought to a police department eleven protesters from the Reduktorny settlement of Makhachkala, who protested against frequent blackouts. A protocol for petty hooliganism was drawn up against each detainee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on July 18, several hundred people blocked traffic in the Reduktorny settlement of Makhachkala in protest against frequent blackouts. Policemen lined in a chain and freed the roadway for the passage of vehicles. One of the protesters was detained and forced into a police car.
