KBR resident convicted of attempting to recruit countrymen to radical groups
The Prokhladny District Court of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has found Z. Ataev, a district resident, guilty under the case of public calls for extremism. He was sentenced to one year and five months of conditional imprisonment.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 5, the court arrested Takhir Sozaev, the administration head of the KBR's village of Belaya Rechka, for two months. He was also charged with public calls for extremism.
The 37-year-old Ataev is accused of public calls for extremist activities and attempts to involve residents of the republic in radical groupings, the RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" has reported, citing the press service of the KBR's branch of the Russian FSB.
