After resonant murder, Internet users question Putin’s words about security in Chechnya
Information about a murder committed near the village of Ken-Yurt in Chechnya, disseminated on social media, caused indignation among Internet users. Some of them believe that the words of the President of Russia stating that Chechnya has become one of the safest regions in Russia are greatly exaggerated.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that during a meeting with the leader of Chechnya on June 23, 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that with the Ramzan Kadyrov’s personal participation, “Chechnya has become one of the safest subjects of the Russian Federation.”
Yesterday, social media disseminated the information about a murder of a man in the village of Ken-Yurt. In particular, on June 23, blogger Khasan Khalitov reported about the murder in his Telegram channel. The blogger posted a video depicting a white car on fire on the shore of a water reservoir. Khasan Khalitov also posted a photo of the two men suspected of the murder.
The police all-points bulletin containing information about wanted potential killers was disseminated among WhatsApp users, together with an audio message, which claimed that the victim had 90 million roubles with him and left for the village of Galni (Ken-Yurt) to meet a client. “He was tracked down and killed, and his body was burned in his car,” wrote in a comment rebbecca.oconner, a user of the “Caucasian Knot”. “Here you have the collapse of the Ramzan Kadyrov’s myth that Chechnya is the ‘safest region of the country’,” the comment notes.
“Ramzan Kadyrov keeps his people so well, but it turns out there are people who are not afraid of him and killed a man,” noted user with the nickname ")". “It’s today’s realities. It’s a mayhem,” wrote user Django.
