Masis Mailyan complains of pre-election violations in the CEC of Nagorno-Karabakh

In Nagorno-Karabakh, the pre-election campaign goes on. The electoral headquarters of Masis Mailyan, candidate for President of Nagorno-Karabakh, has lodged another complaint to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). The "Caucasian Knot" reports that the complaint, in particular, runs as follows:

"...With the aim to ensure the victory of Bako Saakyan in the July 19 election, in parallel with the administrative terror applied against the voters, in some districts of the NKR (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), they artificially increase the number of voters (<...> persons have been brought who are not NKR citizens and are not residents of the Republic. A seal is put into passports of these people that they are temporary NKR residents. For example, in the district centre of Berdzor of the Kashatag District, the number of voters, as of July 14, has grown by 15 percent).

In Bako Saakyan's interview published on July 14 in the newspaper "Azat Artsakh," in violation of the provisions of the Electoral Code, again material promises were given - on granting 300,000 drams to newly-married couples, and of 3,000-4,000 US dollars for each third and fourth child born into the family.

Above the entrance to the polling station of Nerkin Oratag village, one can see a CEC's appeal and an agitation poster of Bako Saakyan".
