The ECtHR has ruled on the complaint "Shirvaniev versus Russia". The complaint lodged by Kuri Shirvaniev, a civilian resident of the village of Selmentauzen, Vedeno District of the Chechen Republic, concerned his severe wound by militaries in 2016. The ECtHR found a violation of Article 2 (right to life) of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), says the statement posted on the ECtHR's website.
